ACT 2B

HI everyone,

This week, so far, I’ve been working on my YA Fantasy novel The Search For Magic. It’s set in the same Universe as Destructive Magic but with different characters. It’s also set three years earlier. If you follow Save the Cat, I’m at the bad guys close in. This just means that there is a rise in tension with each chapter for all aspects of your story. For the character growth, for the action plot, for friendships etc. For me I have quite a few aspects. I have my MC’s character arc—which for me is the most important. Then there is the plot that needs to move quickly here. There are also promises from the first half that need to pay off. This is a second draft so it’s not so hard but there are something that need major tweaking. The character arc for one.

The problem is my computer screen has just broken and I’m about to bring it in to be fixed so I’ll be without a computer for a while (hopefully not so long). Hopefully before I have to finish this post. It means I’ll have a lot of time to plan in my notebook-yep I’ll be back to pen and paper. This is good as I’ll be able to take time and fine tune the speed of her growth arc and massage it where I want it to go. Okay, got to go or I’ll miss my appointment. Wish my screen a speedy recovery.
